  I am sooo ashamed!

  i am so ashamed to admit that i waz called a jehovahs witnesses, that sometimes i want to move & change my name!.

  how many of you feel the same, or do you share the camp of those who say, "everything happens for a purpose"?

  even though i have been out for about 3 yrs., i still can't believe i waz that stupid!

  I am totally with Xena on this one. You know, I think you should be a little bit proud that little ole you escaped the clutches of one of the most powerful mind-manipulating organisations on earth today. They pitted against you thousand of drones, billions of dollars & powerful control techniques - and you still eventually saw through it all! Ashamed? Hah! Damn it if I'm not proud to make your (virtual) acquaintance!

  i don't read the bible very much.

  i don't call god 'jehovah', either.. you know why, of course, both the bible and 'jehovah' make me think of the wtbts.

  that, folks, is a very unpleasant memory, so if satan is living in brooklyn, he's succeeded in pushing me away from the good book.

  A book I found very interesting was, "Who Wrote The Bible" by Richard Freidman, professor of Hebrew at California Uni. Anyone brought up thinking that characters like Moses wrote the bible need to dig. The other thread on Jesus not existing is also v interesting.

  i was a regular christian before a jehovah's witness person came knocking on my door.

  i did not know what a jehovah's witness was when i met her.. she's a very nice person, and brings her 14 year old daughter everytime.

  she says i should not watch tv, and should not listen to music, and should not play video games, because they will corrupt me, because they are what devil has created.. my friend told me that they are extremests and he is very worried about me being in contact with jehovah witness people (as you can see, i'm not too sure of how to address them either).

  Follow Nelly136's advice. It will work for a few years and then you will have to probably do it again. You can also be as polite as you like in a letter without resorting to their low standards of social niceties.

  You can either hand the note to the lady or put it in the Kingdom Hall letterbox. You should put it in an envelope addressed to the Elders.

  b) I quit tobacco, something I had tried several times & failed

  There is lots more of this stuff as you seem to know. But facts can have no impact unless you think about how it affects the claimed authority of the GB. Think carefully, You Know, about Farkel's comments. Whilst you undoubtedly believe otherwise, there are people here who want to help you. Before you dehumanise people using labels, ask yourself if, according to your own definition, if Jesus was not an apostate from Judaism?

  you may recall me posting about ray's troubles with lucy, his jw wife.

  lucy recently accused ray of feeding her poisoned sausages, with the result that ray was visited by the police.

  Tell Ray to say that he would just love to join the Borg if only he didn't have to believe that chimpanzees have no canine teeth. When she says, "Uh?" he can turn to page 94 of the Creation/Evolution book (the blue one) and point to the so-called picture of the chimp and point out that it is spurious, deliberately designed to look like the picture of the australopithecine to the left. (He should get a photocopy of a real chimp skull from the library or use the one I am emailing to you. It is from page 73 of "Origins" by Richard Leakey & Roger Lewin. If she questions their eminent authority point out that the Borg quote "Origins" to support their case in paragraph 8 of the newer book.) Drive home the point about telling lies/use of fraud & DECEPTION etc, and if she bites go down to the KH library and look up the previous Creation book and turn to page 85. There the WT drones used the exact same picture, only then they didn't call it a chimp skull, but an extinct ape. Ask her how what is an EXTINCT APE in 1967 becomes an EXTANT CHIMPANZEE in 1985? Ask her what Jehovah would want her to do if she found herself in a religion that used LIES & FRAUD to gain members?

  Let him know that this will result in her either leaving the Borg or HIM. He had better do something soon, she sounds dangerous.
